On the 13th of October 2020, SAP Security Patch Day saw the release of 15 Security Notes. There were 6 updates to previously released Patch Day Security Notes. With a total of 21 notes being listed, the month of October is the month with the second most patches in 2020, so far.
Unfortunately, the series of severe corrections does not end in October. SAP’s security experts have released the Note 2969828 „OS Command Injection Vulnerability in CA Introscope Enterprise Manager“, which was externally reported. We recommend checking the component version of the CA Interscope Enterprise Manager, which is used in SAP Focused Run and Solution Manager.
CA APM Introscope(R) is an application performance management solution created to manage Java Application performance. This allows you to monitor and manage your application performance in live production environments. The Right to View (RTV) version of CA APM Introscope is a restricted, read-only form of the full product and is bundled with SAP Solution Manager.
The Introscope Host Adapter (aka WilyHost agent) is an application that runs inside the SMDAgent. One of the tasks of the Introscope Host Adapter is to collect data from different configurable destinations and push them to the Introscope Enterprise Manager.
